He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Brown and Catherine Varley Brown. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bailey Brown; his sons, Scott (Juliana) and Kevin (Amy); his grandchildren, Valentina, Samantha, Connor and Eliza; and his brothers, Donald and Terry.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Embrace Hospice, "Embrace Endowment", 175 Village Center Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 or the American Cancer Society.
