He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kanda and Mary Kanda; and his former wife Violet Suth Kanda. He is survived by: his children, Anne Lipsett, Patrick Kanda, Rita (Jeff Leary), Frances (Tom Mulryne), Rosemary (Ron Sova) and Lisa Kanda (Maria Borgognoni). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Due to COVID restrictions, a memorial mass and burial in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, NJ, will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association or Holy Ghost Fathers.
