He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Elmer and Mabrie Lindler Metts; his daughter Pam Bass; and his brothers, Richard Metts and Howard Metts.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Metts (Bernie) of Little Mountain; his sister Dorothy Huffstetler of Chapin; his grandchildren, Allen Sanders, Joshua Sanders and Jordan Sanders; and his great grandchildren, Elainah and Kayden Sanders.
