He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Mae Smith Sanders; his parents, Jay Patrick Sanders and Lorene Sanders; his daughters, Sheila Marie Sanders and Joyce Lorene Roland; and his siblings, Wayne Sanders, Jerry Sanders and Bethel Alexander.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Tant of Easley and Barry Sanders of Easley. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
