With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Dean Wilson of Liberty, South Carolina, born in Pickens, South Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rodney Dean has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Wilson and Ruby Young Wilson; and his wife Martha Ann Wilson. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Nelms (Jim) and Allison Wilson; his stepchildren, Angie Gillespie, Jennifer Reid, Randy Youngblood and Michael Youngblood; and his close friend Linda Davenport. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cedar Rock Baptist Church.
