Rick M. Powell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rick M. Powell of Liberty, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsey G. Powell and Frances Louise McMullan Powell; and his brother Bobby Powell. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Farr Powell; his stepdaughters, Angie Hammond (Paul) of Spartanburg, SC, Debbie Deaton of Anderson, SC and Kim Deaton of Sarasota, FL; his nephews, Scott Powell (Wendy) and Wesley Powell (Kim); his niece Pam York (Grant) of Hartwell; and his grandson Dylan Hammond of Spartanburg, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
