He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Johnson and Bertie Nix Johnson; his grandmother Millie Nix; and his siblings, Bobby Johnson, Steve Johnson, Geraldine Nelson, Joyce Sherbert and Judi Babb.
He is survived by: his children, James, Bobby, Teresa, Tracey and Ponda; and his sisters, Nancy Babb and Frances Smith.
