He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Powell and Lula Nations Powell; his siblings, Frances Bagwell, Fred, Thomas, Claude, Furman, Clarence "Crip", Wallace and Ernest "Cub" Powell; and his great grandchild Kyle Sloan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Powell; his children, Sandy Green (Keith) of Six Mile, Pam Anderson (Jack) of Liberty and Donnie Powell (Patty) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Marci Shetler (Josh), Melissa Sloan (Matthew), Jimmy Powell (Monica), Lucas Anderson (Kelly), Ben Anderson, Emily Green, Noah Anderson, Samantha and Beth Anderson; and his great grandchildren, Zachary, Caleb, Gabe, Austin, Cason, Brycen, Ella and Gunner.
