With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wyonia Rabon of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Wagener, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025. As we bid Wyonia farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Wyonia is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her mother Rosa Garvin; and her daughter Dorene Backman. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Rabon; her daughter Shirley Amick; her grandchildren, Erik Amick (Carol), Andy Amick (Kristi), Milton Hall (Rachael Oglesby) and Staci Hall (Christopher Mixon); and her great grandchildren, Tyler Amick, Logan Amick, Charlie Hall, Sam Hall and Margo Mathis.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Barr-Price Funeral Homes & Crematorium (609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072).
