He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Henry Sharpe and Lillian Harmon Sharpe; his wife Kathleen Sharpe; his stepdaughter Kathy Sharpe; his siblings, Stanley Sharpe, Sr., James Sharpe, Jeanette Smith and Frances Smith; and his close friend April Rose.
He is survived by: his close friend Faye Pilot (Hannah Rose); his siblings-in-law, Patsy Sharpe, Barbara Gartman (JC) and Eldridge Hewitt (Sally); and his stepchildren, Debra Chavis (Eddie), Ronnie Brazell (Gail) and Mike Brazell (Glenda). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
