Van touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Leslie Alexander and Elizabeth Stewart Alexander; his wife Patsy Player Alexander; his former wife JoAnne Dillman; and his children, Daryl Brent Alexander and Lynne Alexander.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leslie Alexander of Sparta, TN, Leigh Alexander Ledbetter of Cookeville, TN and Stephanie Joyner Mitchell of Lexington; his son-in-law C. David Mitchell of Gilbert; his grandchildren, Michael Alexander (Tiana), Brandon Mitchell (Lindsey), Evan Mitchell (Jessica), Dylan Ledbetter and Alexa Ledbetter Barrett (Shawn); his great grandchildren, Isabell, Ryan, Bryson, Nathan, Laytin, Avery, Blakely and Tatum; and his sister Jane Alexander Durrell. He is also survived by brother-in-law.
