It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Long Etheredge in Lexington, South Carolina, born in Batesburg, South Carolina, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Long Long and Rosa Bell Jackson Long; and her brothers, Charles Gantt, Benson Long, Herbert Long and Roger Long.
She is survived by: her children, Clifton Etheredge of Leesville, SC, Travis Etheredge of Leesville, SC, Felicia Seawright (Gregory) of Wagener, SC and Samantha Etheredge of Gaston, SC; her grandchildren, Brittany Cook, Jazmine Johnson, Latiffah Etheredge, Lanekia Burt and Nyla Etheredge (Paige Keller); and her siblings, Lawrence Long of Batesburg, SC, Leitha Henderson (Nathaniel) of Batesburg, SC, Debra Hunter (Carl) of Batesburg, SC and Seria Cannon of Lexington, SC. She is also survived by in-laws; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
