He is survived by: his wife Maria Tapia; his daughters, Blanca Estela Granados, Maria Elena Montes of Lourdes Lynch and Gabriela Guzman; his siblings, Jesus Montes, Miguel Montes, Luz Montes, Socorro Montes and Estela Montes; and his grandchildren, Martha C Granados, Arturo Granados, Pedro A Granados, Lorena A Granados, Joshua Lynch, Brianna Cerda, Richard Cerda, Joanna Cerda, Jesus Guzman, Cristy Ruiz, Victor Guzman, Yesenia Guzman, Jose Ruiz, Marco J Martinez, Vicente Eduardo Higuera Montes, Gustavo Martinez Montes and Octavio Martinez Montes. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel (609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church (120 Marydale Ln, Columbia, SC 29210). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at the Celestial Memorial Gardens (3111 Delree St, West Columbia, SC 29170).
