He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Walling and Savannah Walling; his siblings, Althea Woodward, Marianna Stone, Betty Davis, Dessie Mae Jeffcoat, Ruby Dunn, Katie Walling, Marcus Walling, Robert Walling, Billy Walling, Joseph Walling, Granville Walling, Richard Walling and Chester Walling; and his granddaughters, Savannah and Emily Brandon.
He is survived by: his wife Marion; his daughters, Terry Walling and Sherry Brandon; his grandsons, Thomas Brandon and Conner Brandon; and his siblings, Frances Davis and Quinton Walling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
