She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Basinet (Card) and David J. Basinet; her husband Cecil "Greg" Alford (RN); and her sister Ann Schiffbauer. She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Heather Hoyt (Les) of Irmo and Jana McMichael (Jeff) of Lexington; her sisters, Lynne Basinet, Diane Basinet, Theresa Morris, Donna Tillery and Jana Basinet; her grandchildren, Gage McMichael, Rachel Hoyt, Dylan McMichael and Noa Grey McMichael; and her great grandchild Blaiz McMichael.
