He is survived by: his children, Kristie Stahl and Eric Coates; his children-in-law, Mike Stahl and Jessica Coates; his grandchildren, Elsey, Brielle, Emery Stahl, Logan, Anna Grace, Griffin, Boyd, Colby and Sadie Coates; and his brother David Coates.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt Horeb Church designated to congregational care.
