She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Boatwright McCullough and Johnny Ralph McCullough; her husband James Preston Hughes; her siblings, Eloise McCullough Taylor, Catherine McCullough, Anne McCullough, Bernice McCullough and Ralph Hazel McCullough; and her son Stanley Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Hughes (Missie), Charles Collins and Wendy Collins Talbert (Bobby); her grandchildren, James Preston Craig Talbert (Breanna), T. J. Talbert, Brittany Talbert, Kathryn McIlwain (Eric) and Hannah Talbert; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Leeland and Carsen Talbert; and her caregiver Sarah Noles.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lexington Baptist Church (308 E Main St, Lexington, SC 29072). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Lexington Memorial Cemetery (1772-1782 W Main St, Lexington, SC 29072).
