He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Lester and Phyllis Lester (Holz). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lester of Lexington, SC; his sister Patricia Svetz (James) of Hartselle, AL; his niece Monica Shannon (Kevin) of Decatur, AL; his children, Marcy Murphy of Castle Rock, CO and Nathan Lester (Megan) of Lexington, SC; and his grandchildren, Christian, Rylee, Eli, Liv, Asher, Lainie and Lillie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel (609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM and at 2:30 PM. A reception will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home (305 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364).
