It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn R. Slyce of Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Woodrow Rinehart and Ola Mae Gunter Rinehart; her husband LaVern; her son Rhett Slyce; and her brothers, Robert Rinehart and Larry Rinehart.
She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Slyce Goodale (David Goodale); her grandchildren, Hannah Slyce (Clayton Evans), Rebekah Slyce (Lucas Church), Benjamin Slyce and Blake Goodale (Samantha Burnette); her great grandchildren, Cali Slyce and Rhett Church; and her sister Linda Rinehart Williams (Jerry Williams). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. David Lutheran Church (132 St Davids Church Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the St. David Lutheran Church Cemetery (132 St Davids Church Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170).
