She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie "Monk" Gilree and Jessie Bell Mathias Gilree; her husband James C. Cannon Sr.; her siblings, Julie Bell Hendley, Willie Bell and Jerry Gilree; her children, Nell Cannon, Richard Otto Cannon and Russell Cannon; her sons-in-law, Clabie C. Edmond Jr. and James Leo McKiever Sr.; her grandson Tyrone Chapman; her niece Rev. Shelia Gortman; and her nephews, Rufus and Dennis Hendley.
She is survived by: her children, Jessie Mae Edmond, Betty Jean McKiever, Peggy Lee Hunter, Steve Milton Cannon, James Lewis Cannon (Janice) and Lawrence Cannon (Desiree); and her sisters, Janie Ruth Gortman, Eva McKiever (Jimmy) and Mary Lee Hall. She is also survived by her 28 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren.
