We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2024, Roberta Derrick of Leesville, South Carolina, born in Batesburg, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Roberta farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Roberta is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parent Thomas H. Derrick. She is survived by: her mother Mildred Oxner Derrick; her brother Billy Derrick (Beth); her close friend Sheree Caughman; her nephews, Clay Derrick (Andrea) and Brad Derrick (Denise); and her niece Roxanna Jernigan (Rusty). She is also survived by 2 great-nieces; and 1 great-great nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church, 2347 Summerland Highway, Leesville SC 29070.
