He is survived by: his wife Shirley Carpenter; and his children, Thomas Burt (Ellen), Glen Carpenter, Sherri Burt (Chris Janacek), Dawn Berley (Andy), Margaret Singletary (Mike) and Cherie Galloway (Troy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
