He is survived by: his wife Marie Ricard Hodge; his sons, Richard Lee Hodge, Jr. and Tommy Gene Hodge (Carrie Marie); his granddaughter Alexis Marie Hodge; and his sister Elke Weese. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church in Memory of Richard Lee Hodge, Sr, 308 Church Street, Leesville, SC 29070.
