She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ervin and Nancy Ferdie Passmore Rice; her son William Chase Rice; and her brother William E. Rice Jr.. She is survived by: her husband John S. Rotan; her son Chris Rice; her stepchildren, Matthew Rotan and Dr. Stephanie Cox; and her siblings, Stephen Rice and Melissa Ledford. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
