He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hoy Shealy, Sr. and Lessie Mae Smith Shealy; his wife Cora Lee Freeman Shealy; and his sisters, Delancy "Lannie" Shealy, Marilyn Shealy and Betty Barnes.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hoy Shealy and Thomas Rodney Shealy; and his sisters, Shirley Leaphart, Sederis Miller, June Amick, Annelle Bedenbaugh, Sandra Taylor and Brenda Adcock. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
