He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Smith and Anna S. Smith; his wife Lois M. Smith; his son Wendell Smith; his son-in-law Rudy Endrenyi; and his siblings, Erskin Smith, Clinton Smith, Jennett Smith, Lucille Smith, Catherine Blackwell, Rachel Steele and Mattie Hall.
He is survived by: his children, Rickey Smith (Nancy), Nancy Matthews (Lynn), Janis Endrenyi and Brenda Kay Corder (Mike); his daughter-in-law Noritta Smith; his sister Barbara Priester (Ted); and his grandchildren, Mark Cain (Melissa), Krystal Blume (Mark), Vickey Iriel (Nat), Karen Smith, Shaun Smith and Dr. Alex Corder. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
