He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franklin Cooper, Sr. and Myrtle Knighton Cooper; and his siblings, Joseph Franklin Cooper, Jr., Raymond Albert Cooper and Helen Frances Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Robinson Cooper; his children, Hugh Wilton Cooper, Jr. of Laurens and Jennifer Cooper Gravley (Anthony) of Greenwood; and his grandchildren, Jarron Gravley, Tabor Gravley and Hewson Gravley.
