He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clayton and Rosa Lee Brown Patterson; his daughter Cara Angela Patterson; and his sister Margaret Timms. He is survived by: his son Don R. Patterson (Connie) of Saluda; his brother Bill Patterson (Jane) of Sandy Springs; his granddaughters, Jessica Nichols (Heath) of Saluda and Kayla Riley (Zack) of Saluda; his great grandchildren, Emerson, Alexandria Nichols and Ella Kate Riley; and his brother-in-law A. J. Holland of Cheddar.
