He is survived by: his children, Darrell L. Sims, Mark A. Sims, Rodney Booker, Sherry Sims Williams and Sonya D. Sims; and his siblings, Calvin Sims, Hattie M. Campbell and Catherine Finley. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
