He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Kesler and Eva Boyd Kesler; his stepson Johnny Meeks; and his siblings, Truman Kesler and Merdelle Segars.

He is survived by: his son Bob Kesler (Frances) of Laurens; his sister Jo Ellen Hazel of Laurens; and his granddaughters, Brittany, Miranda and Deanna. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
