He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Hawkins and Lucille Elrod Hawkins; and his son-in-law Steve Lynch. He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Sherer (Danny) of Laurens and Debbie Honeycutt (Randy) of Laurens; his grandchildren, Steven Lynch (Lindsey) of Edgefield and Ashlyn Lynch of Laurens; his great grandchild Hawkins Coleman Lynch of Edgefield; and his siblings, Mary McClain of Anderson, Derrell Sears of Anderson, Carolyn Williamson of Anderson, Betty Hanks of Anderson, Rita O'Neal (Ron) of Anderson and Ted Hawkins of Anderson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
