It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randy Townsend (Laurens, South Carolina), born in Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on October 29, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his husband David "Forest"; his parents, Ike Green and Lura Williamson Green; his son Jimmy T. Mitchell; his siblings, Alvin Green and Victoria Campbell; and his grandson Bill White.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Bouknight (Rick) of Laurens, Gwen Bolt of Laurens, Jerry Mitchell of Laurens and David Townsend (Jodi) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Tracy Grigsby (David) of Del Rio, TN, Leighann Martinez (Troy) of Duncan, Forest White of Laurens, A. J. Mitchell of Travelers Rest, Victor Mitchell of Laurens and Brandie Bolt of Fountain Inn; and his great grandchildren, Jaycie Langston, Blake Dunaway, Cameron White, Elizabeth Martinez, Jaidyn White, Katlyn Shepard, Addison Martinez, Raleigh Smith, Logan Smith, Roman Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, Anthony Southard and Camden Traber.
