He was predeceased by: his parents, Lancaster Smith and Mary Cleo Johnson Smith; his sister Mary Elizabeth Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Brother Turner and Kathy Turner of Laurens.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Turner Smith; his sons, Bo Smith (Heather) of Charlotte, NC and Josh Smith (Angie) of Mauldin; his brother Robert Smith (Terri) of Woodruff; his grandchildren, Kenneth Hart Smith, Turner Smith and Joy Smith; his nieces, Tracey Davis and Kierstin Beach (Ken); and his nephew BJ Smith.
