He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sutton and Mildred Sutton (Woods); and his brother Kenneth "Kenny" Sutton of St. Albans, WV.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sutton (Rock); his grandchildren, Jessica Gilford (Tristan), Stacie Jones (Joshua) and Kierney Cox (Josh); his great grandchildren, Lauryn Washington, Cameron Gilford, Trinity Gilford, Isaiah Cox and Silas Cox; his sister-in-law Deborah Sutton; and his nephew Chris Sutton (Loretta).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Grace Community Chapel in Hickory Tavern, SC.
