He was predeceased by : his father Clarence Walter Johnson. He is survived by : his mother Hannah Mae Johnson of Columbia. He is also survived by his three sons, two daughters, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sanders-Thompson Mortuary (1235 S Bell St, Clinton, SC 29325). A wake was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Grove Baptist Church (334 E Jerry Rd, Laurens, SC 29360). A burial was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at the Shands Family Cemetery (334 E Jerry Rd, Laurens, SC 29360).
