It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Fred DeFoor Sr. (Laurens, South Carolina), born in Westminster, South Carolina, who passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Eleanor Haulbrook. He is survived by: his children, Fred DeFoor, Jr. (Cindy) of Columbia, SC, Claire Niven (Ed) of Charlotte, NC, Denise Holliday (Terry) of Fairview, NC and David M. DeFoor (Cindy) of Raleigh, NC.; his grandchildren, Clare D. Eggleston (Travis) of Athens, GA, Judith DeFoor of Simpsonville, SC, Sally Niven of Charlotte, NC, Adam Holliday (Megan) of Columbus, OH, Ellie Holliday (Bryan Haydon) of Lexington, KY, Walter DeFoor (Amelia) of Rockville, MD and William DeFoor (Ashley) of Winston-Salem, NC; his great grandchildren, Maggie Eggleston, Reece Eggleston, Declan Holliday and Leo DeFoor; his wife Barbara Stephens DeFoor of Seneca, SC.; and his brother Dan DeFoor (Joynie) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with grand-nieces and nephews.
