She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin D. Powers, Jr; and her parents, Charles Allen and Mary Alice Bolt Adair. She is survived by: her grandson David Merida of Laurens; and her brother David Adair of Columbia. She is also survived by her four children.
Flowers are welcomed and memorials may be made to Lucas Avenue Baptist Church, 101 Lucas Avenue, Laurens, SC 29360.
