With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mahlon Gunn Moore (Laurens, South Carolina), who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Moore and Roma Tena Gunn Moore; his brothers, Jene Moore and Jesse Moore; and his sister-in-law Carol Moore.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Guthrie Moore; his children, Kenneth Moore (Marguerite) of Greer and Corry Garner (Andy) of Franklin, TN; his grandchildren, Graham Moore (Cindy), Daniel Moore, Corinne Garner and Benjamin Garner; his siblings, Jimmy Moore (Jean), Jerry Moore, Larry Moore (Margie), Marvin Moore (Bobbi) and Dolores McCabe; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Moore and Connie Moore.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home- Laurens (500 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens (500 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). The military honors was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Raytown Baptist Church Cemetery (4641 Raytown Rd NE, Crawfordville, GA 30631).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
