Louise Barton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Barton of Laurens, South Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Louise shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Louise farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Wavra and Yoma Elizabeth Culclasure Wavra; and her sister Yoma Wavra Stokes Duryea. She is survived by: her children, James "Jay" Earle Barton, Jr. (Liz) of Ormond Beach and Elizabeth "Beth" Wavra Barton Holmes (Barrett) of Laurens. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360).
