It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Hellams (Laurens, South Carolina), born in Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Benson of Washington and Mary Emma Beard Benson; and her sister Barbara Ann Benson. She is survived by: her children, Lorna H. Pugh (David) of Laurens, Teresa H. Nichols of Laurens and James Floyd Hellams, II of Blythewood; her sister Mildred Starnes (Martin) of Mountville; her grandchildren, John Brandon Pugh (Stephanie), Lauren Pugh Willis (James), Lindsay Pugh Jackson (Cory) and Zachariah Logan Pugh; and her great grandchildren, Braylee, Briggston, Mahkynzie, Kamron, Ethan, Aiden, Xander, Zayne, Avarie and Raelin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 1607 Highway 221 South, Laurens, SC 29360.
