He is survived by: his children, Omari Houston (Davishus) and Bernice Shannon (Jarrod); and his siblings, Willie McDaniel, Jr., Annie McDaniel, Ruby Carter (Eugene), Evonne Shands, Betty Myrick, Cheryl McDaniel and Jacqueline McDaniel. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
