It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harold Long of Laurens, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, E. T. Long and Ida Mae Wallenzine Long; his daughter Kathryn "Vondi" Callahan; and his siblings, William Talmadge Long, Dorothy Humphries and Evelyn Walsh.
He is survived by: his daughter Judith Murphy; his grandchildren, James Callahan, Kimberly C. Wix, Jonathan Callahan, Justin Long and Cody Campbell; and his great grandchild Parker Wix.
