She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Smith and Lula Young Smith. She is survived by: her children, Reverend Larry Merrill (Joyce), Willie Merrill Jr. (Dorothy), Betty Jones (Rainey), Diane Bryson (Jimmy) and Elaine Thomas; and her siblings, Willie J. Smith and Jennie Smith. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.
