He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Coker and Beatrice Nelson Coker; his wife Joan; his daughters, Vickie Coker and Georgia "Tooney" Coker; his grandchildren, Cristie Weathers and Wayne Walker; and his siblings, Sara N. Thompson, Dorothy Coker Collins, William "Bill" Coker and Red Coker.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Coker Abercrombie (Kenny) of Laurens, Iva Coker Tumblin (Neal) of Hickory Tavern, Wanda Coker Waldrop (Toby) of Laurens and Perry Coker (Sissy) of Gray Court; his grandchildren, Ray Tumblin of Laurens, Angie Tumblin Hardy (Darian) of Hickory Tavern, Jamie Coker (Hollie) of Hickory Tavern, Josh Tumblin (Brad) of Hickory Tavern, Jonie M. Kirk of Gray Court, Adam Hughes (Jessica) of Laurens and Sarah Chitwood (Lee) of Waterloo; his great grandchildren, Coleman Coker, Allie Coker, Cheyanne Kirk, Ellie Kirk, Jackson Chitwood, Daniel Chitwood, Lilliana Weathers, Matthew Knight and Brendan Hardy; and his sister Mary Coker Bayne. He is also survived by nieces nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (765 E Main St, Laurens, SC 29360).
