It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Hampton (Laurens, South Carolina), born in Branchville, South Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Warren Pressley and Lessie Mildred Taylor Pressley; her son George "Tony" Warren Hampton; and her sisters, Katherine P. Wofford and Alice P. Kite.
She is survived by: her children, Gail H. Purkerson (Bob) of Greenville, SC, Gloria H. Walker of Fort Worth, TX and Terry Lynn Hampton (Susan) of Charleston, SC.; and her husband George W. Hampton, Jr.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
