He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Heaton, Jr and Lois Ginn Heaton. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Heaton; his children, Vernon McCall of Clinton and Dawn Heaton (Amy Wolfingbarger) of Jonesborough, TN; his sisters, Kathy Smith of Clinton and Teresa Godfrey of Clinton; his grandchildren, Max McCall, Ember Turner and Edan Turner; and his great grandchild Saia McCall.
