She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis D. Simpson and Rosalyn S. Simpson; her son Bootsie E. Cox; and her sisters, Debbie R. Simpson and Margaret S. Koon.
She is survived by: her son Russell "Rusty" Cox, Jr. (Pam); her grandchildren, Brittnie C. Black (Chaz), Andrea W. Mahaffey (Mat) and Christopher George (Brittany); and her great grandchildren, Murphy George and Sophia Black.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Westview Memorial Park (5740 US-76, Laurens, SC 29360).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 300 West Main St., Laurens, SC 29360.
