It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bessie Johnson of Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Bessie Johnson to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Moon and Mariah Shell Moon; and her husband Luthon Thomas Johnson. She is survived by: her daughter Reverend Izora Johnson Adamson of Columbia, SC; and her siblings, Sarah Lou Moon of Greenwood, SC and Jasper Moon of Simpsonville, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.

While in college, she joined Aeta Phi Beta Soroity, Incorporated and remained devoted to service, charity, scholarship, civic and cultural endeavors, sisterhood and finer womanhood until her death.
