Barney Barbery Obituary

We bid farewell to Barney Barbery (Laurens, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 2, 2025 at the age of 76. Barney touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Barney shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barney farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Spec" Barbery and Helen Waldrop Barbery; his son Jonathan Reid Barbery; and his brothers, Dennis Barbery of Laurens and Brent "Tinker" Barbery of Laurens.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Womble Barbery; and his son Bradley Richard Barbery of Laurens.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary Chapel (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Laurens County Humane Society, 793 Poplar St., Clinton, SC 29325.
