She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskell Roof and Leona Ferrell Roof; her husband Thomas Dillard Young, Sr.; and her siblings, Joyce R. Breedin (William), George Richard Roof and Elizabeth Roof Kirby (Jimmy).
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Tyner (Keith) of Spartanburg and Dillard Young, Jr. (Marylynn) of Edisto Island; her grandchildren, Allie Caroline Tyner, Kelsey Jean Tyner, Jack Remus Tyner III, Thomas Dillard Young III and Calhoun Landrum Young; and her sister Carolyn Wilson (Boyce) of Pauline.
